How Nicole helps

Five connected propositions.

01

Strategy, materiality & governance

Materiality, sustainability strategy, governance, operating models, performance architecture and Board/executive alignment.

When this helps

A complex ESG-related issue needs a clear decision.

Management or the Board needs knowledge uplift, a defensible position on materiality, to make a decision within its acceptable risk tolerance and appetite, align to its strategic direction or understand the case for change in decision making priorities.

The organisation needs to reset its strategy to respond to its ESG risks and opportunities

Sustainability strategy, double materiality, operating model and performance architecture need to connect to business strategy and decision-making to be more financially resilient in the long term.

02

Climate & sustainability reporting

AASB S2 readiness, climate risk and opportunity, scenario analysis, GHG, decarbonisation, reporting and assurance readiness.

When this helps

A new ESG related obligation is landing.

For example AASB S2, climate governance, risk analysis and scenario stress testing, climate transition response controls and assurance readiness - all need to be embedded as credible operating processes - not treated as a last-minute reporting exercise.

03

Investment & transactions

Responsible investment, ESG due diligence, portfolio ESG, post-deal improvement and investor reporting.

When this helps

ESG opportunities could elevate the investment case.

Diligence, responsible investment decision making, portfolio priorities, post-deal turnaround or exit readiness require ESG integration alongside value creation and commercial judgement - ESG is not a compliance checklist.

04

Risk, operations & implementation

HSE and operational risk, management systems, supply chain, human rights, social impact and practical implementation.

When this helps

The risk control response needs to work in practice.

HSE, climate resilience, decarbonisation, supply chain, human rights, social impact controls need to move off the page from documented policy obligations to genuine, embedded leadership accountability and impactful outcomes.

05

Senior advisory & fractional leadership

Board and executive workshops, retained advice, targeted intervention and fractional or outsourced sustainability leadership.

When this helps

Senior sustainability capability is needed now.

Retained or fractional leadership provides experienced support without waiting for a permanent hire or building a large resource intensive project team.

How the work is scoped

Start with the complication and decision required. Build only the work needed to respond to it, implement it and make it resilient and sustainable.

We start with what you need to resolve, the decision you need to make and what is getting in the way. That shapes the work we do together.

Why work with Nicole

Access to senior expertise without the layers.

Direct principal access

The senior person framing the issue is directly involved in the analysis, judgement and delivery.

Proportionate by design

Scope and response are shaped around the problem - not around a leverage model or a predetermined methodology.

Built for momentum

Clear and rapid diagnosis, fast mobilisation and practical outputs designed to help management move rather than create another layer of process.

The experience and thinking behind the approach

The value is not simply technical expertise. It is having access to 20 years of specialist leadership experience that knows what matters to which stakeholders, what is defensible, what is fit for purpose and practical, and how to move swiftly from complexity and uncertainty to responsible decisions and action.

Nicole combines multiple perspectives across the ecosystem of Sustainability & ESG risk and resilience integration. The risk and quality rigour of Big-4 advisory firms, the depth of implementation perspective of senior in-house and operational roles, the understanding of environmental, community and other external stakeholder challenges and impacts, and a commercial investor and responsible decision-making lens. You work directly with me. I bring senior experience to the issue, work alongside your team and help build the capability to carry the work forward.

Direct access to more than 20 years of professional-services, in-house, investment and operational experience. No leverage model. No generic ESG playbook. Support designed around the problem, the decision, the organisation and what needs to happen next.

“The need is rarely we need more ESG. It is usually a business decision that has become harder from lack of ESG risk and resilience integration.”
A different advisory model

Large firms bring scale. Contractors bring capacity. Nicole's model is different: direct access, senior judgement, pragmatic execution and flexible and scalable support - deployed where the issue warrants experience but not a large team or dedicated FTE.

How I work

Clarify. Design. Embed.

01

Clarify the decision.

Understand the problem, trigger, obligations, stakeholders needs, evidence, current state and what management or the Board actually needs to decide.

02

Design the response.

Create the strategy, framework, roadmap, reporting pathway, governance model, capability uplift or risk response needed to move forward.

03

Embed what matters.

Translate the answer into ownership, controls, performance rhythms, implementation actions and investor / executive-ready reporting.
